New Finance MEC appointed

Nelspruit - Mpumalanga Premier Mr. DD Mabuza has announced Mrs YN Phosa as the new MEC for Finance from Wednesday, 12 May 2009.

When announcing his new cabinet, Premier, Mabuza urged all the key sectors in our province to lend support to the new Members of the Executive Council as they assume their public duties.

Premier is also confident that the new MEC for Finance is equal to the task and therefore would deliver as expected.

“As a result and after thorough consultations with various stakeholders, I am confident this team will be capable of prosecuting this mandate because of their various experiences, track record and potential have empowered them for any task they are called upon to execute by the ruling party,” Premier Mabuza said.

MEC Phosa is the former Speaker of the Mpumalanga Legislature.
