MEC Kholwane brings responsible gambling, tourism ambassadors to the community

The newly crowned Miss Tourism Universe South Africa 2016, Amahle Ngaleka (20) visited the sprouting township of Matsulu to offer life and career advices to the learners.
The sensational and beautiful queens were hosted by the MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Mr. Sikhumbuzo Kholwane as part of Mandela Month and to introduce both Miss Mpumalanga and Miss Tourism Universe to the youth.
“My background was not a good one but faith, patience, and self-love made me who I am today”, said Miss Ngaleka.
Miss Ngaleka encouraged learners to love and respect themselves and take their education very serious to succeed in life.
Also in attending the meet and greet occasion was the current Miss Mpumalanga 2016, Elaine Mkhabela, who said youth must stand up for themselves and prioritise their future above all.
“We need to work hard in order to achieve more in life. Our former President Nelson Mandela once said a winner is a dreamer who don’t give up”, said Miss Mkhabela.
Pupils from different schools in Matsulu asked questions such as what challenges are facing beauty pageants and others wanted to know more about careers in Finance and Tourism fields.
Miss Mpumalanga and Miss Tourism Universe are the champions of responsible gambling and campaign to promote Mpumalanga as a tourist destination of choice respectively.
