PROVINCIAL TREASURY WELCOMES 24 YOUNG GRADUATES

Mbombela - Mpumalanga Provincial Treasury welcomed more than twenty graduates to its skills development programme this week.

The Department has enrolled 24 graduates in the 18-months long Internship Programme for 2016/17 financial year as part of the Human Resource Development Plan.

The graduates who comes from various academic fields such as accountancy, information technology and economics will be placed in different sections of the department in order to gain valuable workplace experience.

Their enrolment started on the 1st of July 2016 and they will be with the Provincial Treasury until the 31st of December 2017.

“The plan is to place interns in each section for a period of three months and then rotate them to another section in order to diversify their work experience,” said Department’s spokesperson Letshela Jonas.

Four of the 24 interns will be placed at the newly established Call Centre where they will be expected to assist the suppliers who are struggling to get their invoice paid on time by the public institutions in the Province.
