MEC Kholwane completes verification exercise

RIVERSIDE: it only took less than two minutes to successfully finalize the verification process for MEC Sikhumbuzo Kholwane on Monday, the 16th November 2015.
The Staff Verification project process is the Provincial Treasury’s brainchild that intends to verify all government officials in the province to ensure that
there are no irregularities on the payroll and it has been on full swing since mid-July this year.
During the verification MEC Kholwane looked very much at ease and was very pleased with the time taken to finalize the entire process.
“The process is very effective and I do not believe that it only took only less than two minutes to finalize,” MEC said.
MEC also applauded the staff verification team for their sterling work that they doing in ensuring that all officials are verified.
According to project team leader, Mr Bonginkosi Mdawe they have successfully completed staff verification in two departments, Health and Provincial Treasury.
“We are currently busy with three other departments which are Department for Economic Development and Tourism, Community Safety and Liaison, Human Settlement and Department of Education,” Mdawe said.
Mr Mdawe said, a full report on staff verification will be compiled after completion of the project, which is expected to end soon.
